Here’s What It Is

Not being able to complete tasks, talk to people, speak up, pick up the phone and say ‘I’m struggling’ is no way to live.

I’m not talking about clinical depression.

But it can still feel that empty. In that emotional and psychological place where you’re so scared, small, living in fear with a massive wall of self doubt to get you from where you are to where you want to be.

Here’s What It Isn’t

No doubt, the world of ‘self help’ and personal development is huge, and you’ve probably read messages, if you’ve been searching for help for a while, of ‘instant results‘ or ‘immediate success‘ or ‘change your life overnight‘.

Yadda.

Yadda.

Yadda.

In fact, if you type in the words ‘confidence’ into Google I can guarantee you’re going to be faced with sites of ‘unstoppable confidence in 10 minutes’ or a sales message that hits where it’s really painful for you right now.

Click, click, clickety click, before you know it, you’re typing in your credit card numbers believing that the Zap Yourself Confident in Two Minutes program is just the ticket and going to solve all your problems while you sleep!

Wrong!

If you’re here on this page, you will arrived from a few places on the lovely ‘tinternet, and I already know something about you:

1. You’re a smart cookie. Not a biscuit, you know, smart, smart! You know what you need.
2. You’ve had enough of all that wishywashy, woowoo, sleazy, slimy ‘sales pages’. (They really p**s me off too.) Generally written by someone who has never sat in front of a client who is desperately trying to change their life and filled with so much pain it’s so hard to listen to, no they are cashing in on vulnerability…don’t get me started.

Are We Coming From The Same Place…

Would you agree that we all want to live a life that is confident, purposeful, inspiring, flourishing, meaningful, free from fear: a life where we can handle challenges and overcome barriers quicker, with more focus, drive and determination?

All.

Of.

Us.

Everyone.

Here’s what ‘generally’ happens: people buy but don’t apply.

The key to change (self directed) not forced upon (external) is taking action, reading another book or going on another workshop won’t cut it, unless application of the lessons are made.

This e-course won’t work for you either, not unless you read the emails, and at least apply one little thing.

I’ve worked with individuals with personal life stories that would make your jaw drop. Real-life gunk.

And if I were to give them the same lessons as you’re going to get and they left the room, there would be a mini chance of anybody actually changing their life.

Teeny chance 0.000001%.

Does that mean these lessons don’t work?

No.

But, with respect, it’s only information. All information is worthless unless it’s applied (I’ve just saved you hundreds on self help books and courses!)

If You Want to Change Do This

And, you know what the biggest lesson is (in my opinion) to anybody changing their life?

Get connected. Start to surround yourself with people who are good for you, who can help you grow, challenge you, build those meaningful, rich, rewarding relationships — that is where big change happens. Build meaningful relationships.

I digress…

(Aside: I encourage you not to stop here at my website. I have my way, and there are others who do a cracking job at helping others grow. Keep searching, keep adding and finding the right pieces of information for you. And look for reputable sites: they should have contact details, about pages (with real photos),  you should remain on the site not zipped away to some other halfway around the world!)

Applying The “Lessons”

A great painter becomes so by applying their lessons: using the tools she has gathered and hours of practice, not by keeping all her tools in tiptop condition in her toolkit.

If you have all the carpentry tools, you’re still not a carpenter until you learn how to use the tools in the right way, for the right job, at the right time. Make sense?

I believe, the same applies to personal growth, development and confidence building.

The tools you gather become second nature as you commit to using them on a daily basis.

Like the painter, some of the time may be ‘trial and error’, you may make mistakes or struggle with an idea, you may find that a certain technique is not working for you: to become a master we need to learn the alternatives! Okay, I’m going to say this, if you do ‘fail’ at any first attempt ~ cut yourself slack please!

Will You Get ‘Instant Results’?Are you serious?! Go back and read this page! Teasing.

Um, well! How instant is instant to you?

What, you want me to make that promise of overnight success? Nope, it’s not my style or the way I work.  Let me explain…

The way I work with people (through training, events, services) gets results. Such as these (don’t forget these people were on a live event with me, the results could be measured)

“It has changed my life so much for the better. It has given me the confidence to go from unemployment, over twenty years, to having a job which is giving me a lot of satisfaction.”

“The first day I walked into the room we were using for the course I was very nervous and wary about what I was letting myself into i.e. another hair-brained unemployed scheme!  I was so very wrong by the end of the first day I thougth this is where I should have been a long time ago.”

Yet, I have no idea if you will apply all (or some) of the messages and lessons in the e-course.

When working personally with clients, this can be measured by their personal outcomes.

For example, a person making a career change, they get a new career = result. Or, a person lacking in confidence can go and do that which they feared = result.

It’s a problem this ‘instant’ thing, seriously.  No doubt we would love all our trouble, pains, worries, vulnerabilities taken away instantly, yet life isn’t like that.

Change in beliefs, state of mind, thought process can happen instantly, but you still need the tools to make that happen.

The long lasting change comes from taking massive action and stepping way out and beyond your comfort zones: keeping on going when what you want to do most is say ‘I quit!’

And for some of my previous clients this is not always easy — they go through ‘ups and downs’, they may even struggle with their growth and development (for a time), they may get stuck, stopped or overwhelmed a few times or find it a challenge to keep on going when everything is a barrier in their way.

Sometimes, the change comes when the person says ‘time to get out my own way’! We, usually are the ‘culprits’ to stumping our own growth.  Heck, I’ve even worked with some people who are making huge changes and leaps, only to turn round and go back again because the people around them didn’t like the ‘new them’!  We humans are complicated creatures, huh?

Since 1996, I have worked as a personal & professional development trainer and coach, with people just like you.
